Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico with a family that was devoted to music. Her childhood was spent listening to classic Boleros from the past along with traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana is a fan of tangos. Also, she loves operas as well as any theatrical performance. At the age 16, she started singing and studying music with her mum. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started giving her a more intensive singing instruction. She furthered her training in music through the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. When she was a student, as well as a young professional within Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choruses. In 2000 she moved into in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she settled in her current home in Southern California. She is a frequent soloist for private events and parties, performing the traditional Latin American Music. The love she has for singing, music and the arts keep her engaged in local projects both as an artist and teacher. Ana has been a participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is grateful to Inland Master Chorale members for their permission to play the traditional Latin American song.
