Maggie Grace is an American actress born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her most famous roles include Shannon Rutherford, a character in ABC's Lost series and Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. Originally from Worthington Ohio, she quit high school in order to relocate into Los Angeles with her mother after her parents divorce. The year 2001 was a difficult one for her, but despite finances, she was able get her first significant part in the web-based video series Rachel's Room playing the main character. The film for television Murder in Greenwich that she appeared in, where she played 15-years-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination for the Young Artist Award. Grace played Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television series in 2004. The show featured her as the principal role for two seasons, and won a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace decided to leave the show in order to pursue a professional film work. She had starred alongside Tom Welling opposite in The Fog earlier in the year 2005. She starred as Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken 2008) as Suburban Girl as well as The Jane Austen Book Club. She reprised the role in Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the lead role Alice In Malice in Wonderland a modern version of Lewis Carroll's classic novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to the Lost series for the last two episodes as Shannon. She appeared in 2013's six-season of Californication. She plays Faith who's an avid stargazer as well as a the girl in the group. Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny, falls for her. Being part of the Gyllenhaal Family she is the daughter and elder sister to the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. The career of her mother began when she was a teenager as she was cast in minor parts in a few films directed from her father. She also worked with her brother in the 2001 cult movie Donnie Darko. Her next appearance was in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was nominated to win the Golden Globe Award in both the romantic comedy Sherrybaby (2005) as well as the romantic comedy Secretary (2002). Both films were critically acclaimed. The Dark Knight, which came out in 2008 following many highly successful movies, such as World Trade Center (2006) and World Trade Center (2006), earned Gyllenhaal more fame. Gyllenhaal began her professional career as a screenwriter, director and writer in the year 2021, when she wrote and directed her psychological horror film The Lost Daughter. The film won Best Screenplay at the Venice International Film Festival, and was also nominated for the Academy Award.
